Operation
The RBA (robot buffering accumulator) provides optimal machine availability and a high-performanceaddition to the packaging process.
The buffer identifies automatically gaps between the cartons on the conveyor belt and unloads the cartons in the ongoing line production. The buffer increases line efficiency and offers a high storage capacity of about 1500 cartons. Downstream packaging processes need not be interrupted due to a temporary failure of an upstream device.

The main element is the 5-axis robot from KUKA that uses PC technology and, as a result of its kinematics, can move freely in 3 dimensions.

Design
Modular design in balcony style easily extendable for new packaging tasks. Existing equipment can be comfortably retrofitted with the buffer. Machine construction from high-grade stainless steel and aluminium, all surfaces are refined or of corrosion resistant material in accordance with GMP standards.
